2 indicted for injuring officer
Two men charged in an incident injuring a police officer were indicted Wednesday by a Madison grand jury. Ernie Laug, 27, of Keri Ann Court, and Brett D. Cain, 20, of Wellington Court, were indicted for second-degree assault and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

Man dies after lawnmower flips
A local man died Wednesday afternoon from injuries sustained in a lawnmower accident. Jack King, 72, was riding a zero-turn lawnmower at a residence on Bybee Loop Road when it turned over on top of him, according to Jimmy Cornelison, Madison County Coroner.
